I9-14900KS overclocking surpasses 9.1GHz

Intel recently released a high-frequency i9-14900KS processor, although its preset frequency is as high as 6.4GHz, this is not its performance limit. The Asus ROG overclocking team quickly pushed this processor to 9.1GHz.

Asus ROG overclocking team leader Elmore and others successfully achieved a high frequency of 9117.75MHz (external frequency 100.19MHz/multiple 91x) for i9-14900KS using their own ROG MAXIMUS Z790 APEX motherboard. This result has been certified by CPU-Z.

During this overclocking process, only 8 large cores were enabled, and hyper threads and all small cores were closed. It is worth noting that only one core achieved 9.1GHz, while the other seven only achieved 3.2GHz. However, the core voltage displayed using CPU-Z is only 1.425V, which is not an exaggeration.
Another expert, Safedisk, also used the platform to achieve three world high scores: completing the task in 6.79 seconds in the PiFast competition, 3.768 seconds in the SuperPI 1M competition, and 97.596 seconds in the PYPrime 32B competition.
It is worth mentioning that the ROG MAXIMUS Z790 APEX has become an ultimate overclocking board. Previously, versions equipped with i9-13900K processors had reached 9GHz, and the upgraded ROG MAXIMUS Z790 APE ENCORE further increased the i9-14900K to 9043.92MHz.
